Format: Presenter-facilitated discussion that will include case assessments of ROI data, and best practices for demonstrating the impact of training on a company’s bottom line..

Learning Objective: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand the changing demographics of global knowledge workers and how this affects local strategic planning
  • Make the case, quantitatively, for training and its impact on a company’s bottom line
  • Use specific techniques that facilitate a more engaging training experience and create higher post-training results

About the Presenter:

Judy Ravin is the Founder and President of the Accent Reduction Institute (ARI) and author of internationally best selling software-based learning systems for rapid language acquisition. Ravin is also a renowned national speaker on how to leverage the training experience so organizations, and a diverse workforce, can reach their greatest potential. Ravin’s methodologies and curricula are used: to help non-native English speakers master English pronunciation, to assist English speakers in systematically understanding unfamiliar accents, and to provide SMEs “best practices” for designing training material that maximize the learning experience at multinational companies. Ravin has taught at the University of Michigan, the U.S. Defense Language Institute-DC, and is a Fellow at George Mason University-School of Law, Dept. of Infrastructure Protection/Homeland Security.
