A2ATD is committed to offering valuable, monthly educational programs along with networking opportunities for those in (or interested in) the training and development field. Our program topics are aligned with the ATD's Capability Model.


Events are usually the First Thursday of the month (unless otherwise noted) and program times can vary.  See each event description for virtual or in-person information as mode of delivery will vary based on the specific event.

A2ATD has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute to offer educational programs that can be used towards initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials.  Email info@a2atd.org for information.

        Hosted collaboratively by Ann Arbor ATD and ATD Detroit, with additional support from West Michigan ATD, partners and volunteers, MIATD26 continues to build connection, shared learning, and professional community across the region.

                The Internal Trainer Preparation & Certification Model

                Join us for networking, dinner and a practical one-hour session with Jordon Taylor, the "Corporate Training Companion" as he unveils a robust framework for validating trainer readiness and ensuring consistent, high-quality learning experiences. We will move beyond theory and dive into two essential tools: the Certification Guidelines and the Training Lesson Plan.


                Attendees will explore a systematic process for the tracking of trainer capability, ensuring that no critical skill gap is overlooked. You will also learn how to implement a four-step preparation model, covering participant learning, trainer preparation, delivery strategies, and lesson breakdowns. This model empowers facilitators to deliver with confidence. Whether you are building a new internal faculty or upskilling subject matter experts, this session provides the actionable blueprint you need to internally certify your trainers for success.
