Learn to apply game-based sensibilities to the development of instruction and how social media leverages the best elements of online games to increase learning, retention, and application.


Format:  Presentation

Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Match different game strategies to types of learning content for the right learning outcome;
  • Learn how gamification and social media techniques can be used to improve learning, retention and application of knowledge;
  • Combine instructional design thinking with game concepts to create engaged and interactive learning experience across a variety of media.

About the Presenter:

Trish Uhl is a Learning Strategist with over 15 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include project management, change management, business readiness, instructional design / development, instructor-led training, learning technologies, and facilitation.

Uhl is known for her delivery of dynamic presentations and is often innovative in embedding “soft” (core) skills with technical training (kinda like hiding veggies in the food kids like to eat).
