Turn Your OD Challenge on its Head:
The 180 Rule

Studies show that when ideas or solutions are presented, our natural inclination is to look for the negative vs. the positive - it’s called Negativity Bias. This becomes a sabotaging effect inhibiting problem solving.

The 180 Rule takes advantage of this phenomenon. It applies a process that allows us to see OD challenges from a unique perspective and to develop creative strategies to help leaders at all levels achieve organizational objectives and mission.

The foundation of this approach is asking: “What would we do if we wanted to fail?”

Facilitator: Pat Jannausch, Principal, Core OD Consulting

Format: Presentation of content by facilitator with exercises and activities to apply learning followed by discussion.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the “Negativity Bias” and how it can benefit problem-solving
  • Understand the 6 Steps of a unique problem-solving process
  • Leave with a plan for  applying this process to a current challenge
