Best Practices in New Employee
On-Boarding

 Successful, Productive Employees Are Engaged Employees.

 "Employee engagement is the number one factor in workplace productivity. And the best way to successfully engage employees is through a meaningful on-boarding process. On-boarding ensures that new employees feel welcome, informed, prepared, and supported. On-boarding helps new employees feel engaged as part of the team. This increases employee success, satisfaction, and retention, which allow you to meet company goals and fulfill your mission." According to the Gallup Research Group

Format: Round table discussions

Attendees are asked to come prepared to share & discuss their best on-boarding ideas!

Learning Objectives: 

 
Attendees will leave with new & fresh ideas for on-boarding, including:
  • What's been most successful & why
  • How long the typical on-boarding process should take
  • Who should be involved in the on-boarding process
  • How it effects employee engagement, retention and overall productivity

5:00 - 5:20 pm   Buffet Dinner & Informal Networking 

5:20 - 5:35 pm   Welcome &  Introductions

5:35 - 6:45 pm   Round table discussions

6:45 - 7:00 pm   Learning Wrap-Up & Meeting Close

Registration: (sign up by June 2  and save $5!)

  • Chapter members = $20
  • Student members = $15
  • Non-member guests = $40 (Join now and save up to $25!)

Registrations are not considered definite or confirmed until payment has been submitted. 

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations will be accepted until 5 pm on Friday, May 30.

  • Cancellations received prior to this time/date should be requested in writing and sent to finance@a2astd.org
  • Refunds will be issued either (1) by check (less a $5 processing fee) and will be mailed to the address on file or (2) transferred to the next scheduled A2ASTD meeting date.

Refunds after May 30 cannot be issued, but we will gladly accept a substitution should you wish to send someone in your place.
